Kelly Walter


Kelly Walter, President of KW Consulting Inc., has over nineteen years of health care insurance and benefit consulting experience. In her practice, she assists individuals and families with medical insurance programs and Medicare plans suitable for one’s coverage needs and budget. Walter is certified in Ohio on the Healthcare Marketplace or Federal Exchange. For the past eleven years, Walter has spent significant time in the senior/Medicare products market and obtains her yearly America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Medicare Advantage and Part D Plan Certification along with many independent appointments from top national and regional insurance carriers.

Prior to starting her own consulting firm, Walter held positions in business development, marketing and sales at regional and national health insurance carriers and hospital-based systems across the Midwest. She has a widespread understanding of underwriting practices and risk management. Supplementing her carrier experience, Walter frequently speaks at various small business organizations as well as large employer retiree groups on Medicare and Individual insurance options.

Complementing her benefit consulting experience, Walter spent several years in frontline marketing and communication positions for both the for-profit and non-profit sectors providing a wide range of marketing communications, promotional, project planning and management of benefit-based communications.

Walter holds her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Organizational Management and Communications from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota. She is also an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). A native of central Minnesota, Walter is an honorary Ohioan and resides in Burton, Ohio with her husband and two daughters.

Annemarie Wenner

Account Manager

Annemarie Wenner serves as KW Consulting’s full-time Account Manager. In this role, she oversees servicing of existing accounts and management of all enrollment-related activity for new enrollees. She also works as a liaison with the various carriers we represent. In addition, in May 2018, Annemarie became fully-licensed in Ohio for her Health/Life license.

Whether she is assisting a client with a claim billing issue or working with a client’s provider’s office in understanding Drug Formulary changes, Annemarie has a hands-on, client-first focus and has aggressively sought additional responsibilities over her past eight years with the firm. Annemarie is a proven resourceful team player with demonstrated talent in identifying, improving and streamlining internal workflow processes. 

Annemarie has been instrumental in the development and upgrade of our CRM software, resulting in the relaunch of all corporate marketing material and our website/online presence. Annemarie is responsible for continually ‘point of contact’ interactions with new and potential clients. She also oversees office management responsibilities and inventory control.

Annemarie has served in a variety of roles prior to joining our firm, including her role as an Elementary/Middle School Music Teacher for a private Catholic school. She worked with Pre-School-8th grade students and was responsible for the expansion of a robust theater program for students. She has also worked in marketing/graphic artist and executive assistant positions over the course of her career.

Annemarie obtained her Associates Degree in Business Management from Lakeland Community College.

Annemarie and her husband and son reside in Geauga County and enjoy traveling, outdoor adventures and are involved in a variety of ministries through their church and local iSTEM school programs.
